We have observed that due to a large-scale service interruption in AWS US East Zone 1 (US-EAST-1), multiple core services deployed on the Vercel platform have experienced access anomalies, and some functions are temporarily unavailable. After analysis, the root cause of this interruption is the abnormal DNS resolution of the AWS DynamoDB service endpoint. Although the underlying resources of the service may still be running, its service discovery mechanism has failed, resulting in a large number of services that rely on the region being unable to establish connections properly. This malfunction has had a widespread impact on upstream hosting platforms (including Vercel), which in turn has affected the applications we have deployed. During this period, the following services were directly affected: 1. Sii library image address service: Users are unable to pull image resources through standard addresses, causing interruptions in the related download and build processes; 2. User account management interface business (all): All interfaces, including login, registration, identity verification, permission query, and account information update, experience connection timeouts or failures, and user authentication and account management functions are fully restricted. Due to the root cause of the malfunction being located in the underlying cloud infrastructure, as an application layer service provider, we are unable to directly intervene or restore operations. We continuously monitor the official status pages of AWS and Vercel, and record abnormal logs in the background for future analysis.
